Since it opened in 1999, hundreds of dogs have passed through the kennels doors and have gone on to wonderful new homes and families. On this page you will see some of those lucky dogs in their forever homes, and hear how they've settled in and how they've enriched their new families' lives.

This is our Zara, who was adopted from here when she was just 6 months old, hasn't she turned into a beauty, she has a mum and dad who are absolutey besotted with her.
Can I just say thanks to Audrey & Brian for bringing the sofas ect. for the kennels honestly just what we needed, as we were getting a bit low on seats for our residents.

Hi Ena
We hadn't been in touch for a while and I just though that you would like to know that Henry is as happy as can be and fit as a flea.
Hope you are well and that all is going well in the kennels.
David Marlene, and Sarah
(And Henry, of course)

Hi Ena,
Pixie is absolutely wonderful.
We had a play in the garden with her. Once she got hold of the tennis ball, she just ran circles around us. She's very inquisitive and has checked out every single corner in the house, garden and street.
She quickly found her favorite chair and toy (as you can see from the photos) and was sound asleep in her chair after her own dinner and, surprisingly, also throughout our dinner (roast chicken!).
She's been for two walks through the neighborhood. Has met and played with Hamish, one of the local Yorkies, and got very excited when she saw one of our local foxes.
She's asleep next to me on the settee, head hanging over my leg, at the moment.
Cheers,
Lynn and Marc

My name is Dougal. I’ve been living with my Mum and Dad since they chose me from Second Chance about 9 years ago.
I was a bit of a naughty boy at first. Not long after I came to stay, I managed to demolish the vertical blinds in the living room (as well as a few other things) but I soon settled down and Mum & Dad have learned to pull the blinds back before they go out now!
Now I prefer the quiet life and gentle walks but when I’m in the mood I like to play with my “cousins” (both human and doggie) when they come to visit me.
