Since it opened in 1999, hundreds of dogs have passed through the kennels doors and have gone on to wonderful new homes and families. On this page you will see some of those lucky dogs in their forever homes, and hear how they've settled in and how they've enriched their new families' lives.

| Dougal >> |
Posted: 13th October 2009
Dear Ena, we adopted Dougal as a pup in mid 2004 and have been having fun with him ever since. At the kennels the kids decided to call him Lucky but as soon as he came through the door at home he looked like a Dougal so Dougal it was. He's the most gorgeous natured dog, clever and very obedient and wonderful with children. Maybe we should have stuck with Lucky...we certainly were really lucky to get him! I know a few folk were interested in him so we consider ourselves really blessed that you let him make the trip across the water to Edinburgh. He loves big walks and has bagged a few Munros, keeps us company running and cycling most days and is a keen swimmer. He's quite a retriever so we have endless games of fetch. He's been happy and healthy for the past 5 years and he's our best friend. Good luck with finding homes for your current homeless hounds, I'm sure they'll find good families really soon.
Best wishes from all of us...and Dougal! xxx

Hi Ena,
Just wanted to send you a wee email to let you know how I am getting on. I go to work everyday with my Mum and Dad which is great. I have made lots of new friends which I run about and play with nearly every day. Dad took a photo of me today with my pals, I am in the middle looking a wee bit tired. I have been on a few holidays with the caravan which was good and we are all going on a small island which I will have all to myself soon, can't wait.
Hope everyone is well and Mum and Dad are on your website every second day having a wee nose at all the lovely dogs that you take in to re home, wish I could have a wee brother or sister but they keep saying they are happy with just me at the moment, perhaps one day .
Love Diesel

| Fergus & Mika >> |
Posted: 11th October 2009
Hi Ena
I thought I would send you a couple of photos through of Fergus he absolutely adores little Mika the kitten even if she is a wee monster LOL
I have also attached a copy of him this morning stealing all the heat from the office radiator no wonder we freeze!
I have to say I am always amazed at the character of Fergus I am not sure if it is because he is deaf but he is such a sensitive dog extremely friendly and laid back! He is the best behaved of all 3 in the office he just lies in his bed (or sits by the radiator!) and wags his tail whenever we get visitors. The only time he moves is when food is on the go LOL
Remember to pop into to office when you are passing
we (and the dogs!) would be pleased to see you
Kind regards
Jayne
