Hello Auntie Ena,

Long time no see! I thought I would give you a wee update on how I am getting on.

As you can see from the photos I am well and truly settled in, mum and dad are spoiling me. Every day I see my big brother Robbie and love playing with him, although I am still not getting on very well with my other brother 'Lucky the cat'!! (I keep barking at him because I am scared!)

I have also learned to swim in the sea and love going to the beach at weekends for walks. My favourite trick is playing football out the back garden. Training is coming along well, I am learning to walk to heel off the lead at the moment, but still need some practice!

My operation to get spayed was successful but I took a slight reaction to it which meant I had to get tablets from the vet and keep quiet for 2 weeks or so, to let the swelling go down. I am now fully recovered.

As you can see from the pictures mum and dad love having me and I am very happy here.

I am sure I will be even bigger the next time I see you and we look forward to 'Bark in the Park.'

Keep up the good work at second chance, hope everyone is well,

Lots of love,

Meg, Nicola and Ross

xxxx

Hi Ena,
Just a few pics of myself to all at second chance. You gave me my second chance and I haven't looked back since. My family love me and I them. I have to say that I am spoiled rotten, but heay, that's what is supposed to happen isn't it. My dad wasn't to keen to have me about at the start due to the loss of his last dog but it didn't take me long to work my magic on him and as such, he is fine now. I love swimming, walking and going anywhere in the car with them. Life is good and I just want to say thankyou for everything.

Cassie xx

Cassie is a great dog and is liked by everybody. Never had a bad thing said against her.

Regards

Hey folks, thought I would introduce you to my new mum & dad aren't they lovely!! You should see my garden, and there's more the garden gate opens out to a great big park! Also, my mum doesn't work she will be with me all the time.

Thanks Auntie Catherine for not taking me into the vets three weeks ago, just think if you hadn't given me the chance I would not be here now to tell you my lovely happy ending. Your an angel.

Update 5th May:
Hi Ena here is an update about my new life. Yesterday mum got me a special doggy shampoo and gave me a bath my coat is now lovely and white. We then went to Glenrothes to meet the 3 grandchildren they all love me to bits. I also met Buttons their cat. I must be used to cats as I did not bother, but buttons not sure. but mum and dad and Aunty Janet think she will get used to me after a few visits. Also met Uncle Calum at Kirkcaldy aunty Audrey was at work but Calum says she will also think I am gorgeous. The grandchildren loved me so much their mum had to bring them through this afternoon to see me again. My mum thought I have been so good she gave me poached chicken for my tea tonight. Will see you all soon. love Pixie xx

Posted: 25th April 2006

Hi Ena

Woody is doing fine. We are about to sit our Bronze Good Citizen Dog Scheme test. I started taking him to training classes, more to socialise him as he was starting to get slightly aggressive towards other dogs when he was on the lead.

Still using the cage but he is very happy and comfortable in it as the attached photo shows. He loves running around though I have to make sure there are no rabbits around!! and he is keeping me active.

Hope to pop in and see you sometime.

Regards

Norma

Ginny has been fine since her op. It is
amazing how easily they recover compared to humans! I have attached a couple of photos of Ginny and I have seen the one of her brother on the Happy hounds pages.

Coco >>
Posted: 25th April 2006

Hi Ena,

Glen and Coco are getting on just great, they are the best of pals although she would be completely lost without him.
Hopefully now she will be fully grown, she is very strong and glen has his work cut out to keep up with her. She still tries to bully him around, but a swift raaarf soon puts her back in her place.

She is so loving, very pleased to see everyone (including bull terriers), still got a lot to learn but she is turning out to be a smashing companion.
We realize more and more how extremely lucky we were to get her.
She is very much a man's dog, neither me or my dad can get our feet turned for her. Always and forever falling over her, especially in the dark mornings when there are no lights on in the house in the morning!!!!

Hope all is well with you all, here are some new photos.

Take care

Love
John, Amber, Glen and Coco.

Dan and Chad >>
Posted: 22nd April 2006

Tyson the six month old Rottweiler, who is now Dan, he came in on the Monday and went to stay with Catherine, Lenny and Chad (another one of ours) on the Tuesday morning. Catherine & Lenny have really worked wonders with the dogs, especially Chad because he wanted to "kill" Dan at first! Now look at them. (Chad is the wee dog who used to terrorise Mhairi!)

This couple so have a way with dogs and nothing is ever too much trouble.

This is the couple whose three dogs are also on rainbow bridge.

Damian the Sheep and lots of Rotties! >>
Posted: 22nd April 2006

We rehomed two of the Rotties in the pic with the tongue!!! The one on the left is Max and the one on the far side is Roxy who was just a wee puppy when she went out, the one in the middle is Tiny it was to her home Max & Roxy went to stay.

Then Mhairi & Kevan went on holiday dropped into Fort William to see Tegan another Rottie pup we had rehomed and met the wee lamb in the 2nd pic, to cut a long story short came home told us about him!

The couple in Fortwilliam also have two collie's, two terriers, a spaniel and saved this wee lamb oh and forgot had four Rottie's as well!!!

Then we told them about Jack a young Rottie male, Frank & myself went up to Fort William with Jack, as you can see from the photo behind the gate all the dogs got on really well. Just as well they stay in the country.

We went for a walk with all the dogs and Damian the lamb it was wonderful, then I asked what would happen to him and was told he was destined for the freezer!!!!! Now we couldn't have that could we, so I took a photo of the lamb and sent it to Jack who is the editor of the Leader, he gave him pride of place on the front page so the story had a wonderful happy ending, the couple who have the three Rotties very kindly gave Damian a home for life and even got him a wee friend and she is named Molly, the 4th and 5th pics are them a year down the line.
