Hi Ena and all at Second Chance,

I thought I would get in touch to let you know how the" boys " are doing.
I cant believe that it is 6 years this month since we collected the two bundles of joy from you.Our lives were turned upside down but in a great way. Murphy and Brodie are lovely dogs and never fail to make us laugh with some of their antics and they totally rule the household. We love them to bits and they love us too.
They are in contact with their sisters Poppy and Holly and all four still act like puppies when they are together.
Thankyou Second Chance for allowing them to be part of our lives.

Lynne

P.S here are a couple of photos the other dog is Rocco Murphy and Brodies "uncle" who sadly died last year.

Lidia & Derek with Nana on the right and their new boy, Any dogs who go to stay with this lovely couple are so lucky and have a home for life. They sadly " lost" Dylek back in September but Lidia is sure he is watching and giving the new lad some pointers as he does some of the same things as Dylek.

Hi everyone I hope you all had a great time over Christmas and New Year

I had a super time Santa brought me lots of things (though I am still trying to figure out how he got in and I never heard him)

I have sent you some pictures of me and my friends on holiday at New Year, we were away at cottages and it was great. Morar was there with Auntie Anne and Uncle Billy and so was Blue with my human brother and sister

My mum and dad say I get more handsome everyday and dafter unfortunately.

It was great we got lots of walks and they had a coal fire, it snowed and we built snowmen, I did not like them at first but soon got used to them (picture attached)

We had a coal fire and it was great after my walk I would come back an chill in front of it, I miss it now we are home and don't have one.

It is nearly a year I have been in my forever home and I have loved every minute of it and mum and dad have loved having me. I am doing a wee bit of agility, not a lot cos I need to let my bones fully develop but it is quite good fun though dad says I have the attention span of a gnat!!!!! I am only a puppy after all a big puppy but still a baby.

I have only experienced one problem in my forever home that is that I think I am a collie and insist on sitting on visitors knees I always manage it much to their surprise.

Best wishes to everyone and I hope this year is a happy one for you and all the dogs who find themselves with you to find their forever homes.

Love and Kisses

Bryn & Bailey >>
Posted: 8th January 2008

Hello all,

Well it has been a bit of a challenge the last week and a half with wee Bailey joining our home. He is a good wee soul and it breaks my heart to think he was a stray for so long. He definitely had collar and lead issues when he arrived and Bryn, as you know, had issues with having another male in the house stealing mum's attention, but alas, after a bit of patience and a lot of time together, the boys have settled in nicely.

I have to say while it has been hard work the benefits far outweigh the work. Bailey has seen how well Bryn goes on the lead and has followed suit and so now they both sit at the front door waiting for their leads to go on so we can go for our daily walks. They both lay down in the kitchen and politely wait for their meals and Bailey has learned to sit and give a paw for a biscuit. Bryn's issues of slight bullying were quickly rectified with the tips your dog behavourist, Paul, gave me. Seeing the two of them curled up on the sofa together now is absolutely brilliant and wee Bailey wags his tail now when I say good boy. It took about 3 days for that to happen as he clearly was not used to the words 'good boy'. He follows Bryn around like a little brother following a big brother - very sweet. Bryn gets up in the morning and where he used to give me lots of cuddles he now runs to the lounge to see Bailey with his tail wagging a mile a minute and Bailey returns the gesture. Bailey is also very clever as I got him toilet trained in about 3 days and he now sleeps in his crate at night for a solid 8 hours (bliss for mum). All this in less then two weeks - who could ask for more!?!

Here are two photos of the boys. Napping on the sofa together and playing 'tug of war' with mr lion.

Hope your all well.

Cheers,
Lynda and the boys! x

Hi Ena
A happy new year to all at the kennels.

Just a wee note on a update of our boy Charlie, also some photos of Charlie
dreaming of Christmas which santa gave him a indestructible toy which is
still in one piece...just! And also helping his dad with preparations for the bells or just a good resting place. As well everyone knows, the morning
after with the hangovers on the couch needing a good rest from the night before.
Charlie met the extended family, we had 16 on Christmas day and about the
same at the bells and Charlie had no problems mixing even with Max the
collie the usual wee dog thinks he is big dog but the 2 get on fine after a few hairy moments but are now the best of friends. The only problems are wee ones which we are working at loves the car but start the engine and he barks for Scotland when he meets people he has got to bark let them know he is there. As you can see Charlie has settled in and become a part of the family keeping dad in line if he raises his voice when not realizing doing it. (Think am back in the army again) Telling everyone when its time for a walk raining or not.
Mum loves him to bits and the 2 get on like a house on fire and he loves his
walks in the field with her on the long lead.

Dear Ena and Frank,

Just thought I would drop you a little line to let you know how I am. Can you believe it is 3 years since you kindly let me become part of the family. I have so got everyone wrapped around my little finger! My mum got me a big sister , but she's a funny looking dog, don't you think. I am sure dad said no more pets, thanks goodness she doesn't live in the house or try and get on the bed in the morning which I am allowed to do (I love a cuddle with my mum). Her name is Goldie, she has four legs like me, a funny tail, and a funny face !! She likes to chase me and I love to go for a run with her, jump the jumps and go through the river with mum! Anyway here are some photo's for you !

lots of love Charlie (aka Snoop!)

ps mum and dad adam and jack also send there love.

mum has a new job in fife she says she may pop in to say hello!

Charlie ( who was Snoopy when he was with us ) What a wonderful life he now has.

Hello Ena and Mhairi

Happy New Year to you both and all your pooches.

Thank you for matching us up with Bobby. He has been a delight to have with us from the moment he arrived. He is such a well behaved wee chap and is ball & stick mad! The kids love him to bits already and he will come in handy when it comes time to get Declan up for school on Monday morning ....I am not sure if Bobby thinks Declan is sleeping in his bed...he is certainly good at snuggling up beside him!
Thanks also for sending us the paperwork regarding Bobby's vaccination. I have made an appointment on Saturday for Bobby's second vaccination.

We had Bobby out in the snow with the kids this afternoon but our camera is on the blink otherwise I would have sent you some pics of him playing at snowball fights with Dec and Madi.

Here are a few others of the wee charmer around Christmas time.

Will be in touch again soon.

With best wishes

Andrea Jones

PS Saw our wee star appearing as a celebrity in the Fife Free Press the other week - we feel really lucky to have him as part of the family.....thank you.

Thanks to all his family for giving him such a wonderful home.

Ena & Mhairi xx

Dear Auntie Ena

What great adventures I've had so far! You saw me going into the back
of the car - but not for me! I wanted to ride up front and wriggled my
way through. I even got to drive the car at one point - well almost.

I've had a bath, a brush and my eyes all cleaned and my new family
have changed my name to "gorgeous". Well, that's what they keep
calling me anyway.

It's off to the park now to play in the snow. Yipee!

Thanks again for looking after me and I promise to send another
postcard of my adventures.

lol

Wee Jimmy xx

Hi Ena, Mhairi and all my friends at the kennels

Just thought it was time to catch up with you all now that I have had time to settle in my new home. I'm having a great time with my new Mum and Dad and my new, older brother Bloo. We go for lots of walks in the park across the road and I love running around my new garden. My Mum says i've been really good because I haven't chewed anything. She has promised me that, in the Summer, I can go in the water and learn to swim. My Dad has attached a couple of photos to this email and I promise i'll be up to see you all soon.

Hope you all have a great New Year

Alfie xxx
