Bailey & Bryn >>
Posted: 25th July 2008

Hi Ena, Mhairi and Frank,

I was just on your website again and thought that if I had the room I would take both Cloe and Poppy as they both are so sweet looking and would get on so well with Bryn.

This is just a wee update as I have not been in touch since adopting Bailey from you in December. Bailey was actually 3 and 1/2 months when I got him and not 4 and 1/2 months as we originally thought. My little puppy is now my little pony and still growing as he is not a year yet. Bryn can actually walk under him and often does to get to his favourite chew. I have to say I am amazed at how well adjusted Bailey's personality is considering his days on the streets. He is a big softie and follows me into the kitchen and lays at my feet with his head on my foot. He has picked up the basic commands very well but as he is Rhodesian Ridgeback/Alsatian cross he likes to think he is is the boss. :-D Clearly having been on the streets he is quite territorial about his food and gobbles it down and goes for Bryn's as well but this was simply sorted by feeding them in separate rooms.

They curl up on the sofa with me but it is quite funny as Bailey does not know his own weight and he just flops against me. Too funny! Bailey and Bryn still have some territorial issues but we are working on that. It is so interesting to see their different personalities come out based on their breeds. Bryn likes to herd Bailey and Bailey likes to 'shoulder' into Bryn which is typical ridgeback. They love their hikes and walks and whilst Bailey seemed terrified of the water at first, he is now obsessed with it and jumps in at every possible chance. He won't go where he can't stand but he splashes and plays and sticks his head under the water looking for treasures. Makes me laugh to no end to see him so happy and adventurous.

Bryn is as sweet as ever and loves getting out for his hikes and swims.

I have included a couple of photos for you of both boys. Bailey when I first got him and how he is now along with his big Brother Bryn.

I hope this finds you all well and happy rehoming. Every dog deserves a loving home and you all make that happen. Well done!!

Cheers,
Lynda, Bryn and Bailey xxx

This is Cassie who was adopted a few months ago, we were in her village rehoming Bailey so we popped in to see how she was getting on. As you can see she is absolutely fine but still won't stand still long enough for a pic.She absolutely adores her mum & dad as you can see.We came away very happy in the knowledge that she has a brilliant caring loving home with Rocky another Rottie

This is Kath & John with their family and Glen on the left,we brought him in from the kennels next door where he had spent a long time, so we brought him in here and he chewed for Scotland, we thought we would never find a home for him, but Kath & John gave him an excellent home and he has never chewed once. They decided they would like a friend for him, so enter Mia a three year old black lab girl. John has just sent me a e-mail about them and they are doing really well.

Hi, just a quick update on Bailey, he has settled in really well, plays brilliant with zoe and chuckie, sleeps in Connars bedroom floor, with a big comfy duvet for a bed,.He has really fallin for Connar, follows him everywhere, best mates, bless! He can now walk off the lead, doesnt bother anyone else, not even cats! haha and he can swim!! like a fish.He loves cuddles and has daft hours playing in the park chasing balls, he's a great wee football player! We held off with the castration, he isnt that bad, he has his favourite blanket he gets hold off now and again. so we think we might just get him snipped, they dont take anything away, just snip the sack, that way he wont know any difference.
anyway! thank-you so much for choosing us as his rehomers, he now comes to me when I say MUM, which is so nice and he knows his place. My lap most of the time. thanks again xx
Karen,George and Connar. xx

Hi Ena and Frank,

Wendy Larman here. Thought I would send you some photos of Daisy that I promised. She has settled so well and we can't remember life before her. She has got bigger, has thickened round her middle and a bit longer. She loves her walks down the park and has made lots of doggy friends. Very, very affectionate to everyone she meets. Hope you are all well at the kennels. I regularly visit your website to see your new 'visitors', poor Poppy. Hope she gets a nice home soon.

Take care

Wendy, Gary and Daisy Larman xx

So pleased to hear Misty has settled in well. Look forward to pics!

Hi Ena,

Just wanted to say how Misty (was Millie) is getting on great with us. She is the most affectionate lovable dog we have ever known.

She is off the lead on her walks and always comes back. We take her to the beach everyday and goes running most mornings with me.

We had a couple of problems with her wandering off at the beginning but she never went far but now she stays in and around the garden and always comes back when we whistle.

Misty is very happy and so are we with her!

I will try and get some photos to you soon.

Thanks so much for letting us have Misty!

Hannah and Tim x
