Jinty & Zak >>
Posted: 6th November 2009

This is our wee girl Jinty (used to be Honey) with her best pal Zak, who is also a rescue dog. This is them with their folks Jinty is on her mum's knee. They are off tomorrow with their folks on a big adventure they are going to stay in Bulgaria. How lucky are they that they have such committed owners. We wish them all the best and hope they all have a long and happy life. Something tells us though they won't stay at two dogs for long, seemingly there are lots of strays out there which will be lucky for some as they will be treated like royalty by this lovely couple.

Suki now has a brilliant home and her folks are there 24 /7 she has a beautiful large garden you should have seen her when Frank and I went with her for her home visit she ran about in her garden just loving the freedom, she looked as though she had a big smile on her face. We at Second Chance are very happy for her, and she had a good night.

Dougal >>
Posted: 13th October 2009

Dear Ena, we adopted Dougal as a pup in mid 2004 and have been having fun with him ever since. At the kennels the kids decided to call him Lucky but as soon as he came through the door at home he looked like a Dougal so Dougal it was. He's the most gorgeous natured dog, clever and very obedient and wonderful with children. Maybe we should have stuck with Lucky...we certainly were really lucky to get him! I know a few folk were interested in him so we consider ourselves really blessed that you let him make the trip across the water to Edinburgh. He loves big walks and has bagged a few Munros, keeps us company running and cycling most days and is a keen swimmer. He's quite a retriever so we have endless games of fetch. He's been happy and healthy for the past 5 years and he's our best friend. Good luck with finding homes for your current homeless hounds, I'm sure they'll find good families really soon.
Best wishes from all of us...and Dougal! xxx
