How You Can Help

Second Chance Kennels relies solely upon donations, we cannot depend upon a regular income. We are therefore extremely grateful for donations from the public. No matter how small the donation, it will help give the animals the care they deserve and provide them a 'home from home' until they find their new family. You can be assured that every penny goes towards the care of the animals.

The quickest and easiest way to donate money is through PayPal. This way you can make a donation using your credit or debit card, or by using your PayPal account if you have one. Simply click the button below to get started:

More about PayPal

You can also make a donation by sending a cheque, made payable to Second Chance Kennels Thornton to the following address:

Second Chance Kennels
Balbeggie Avenue

Remember to include your name and address so that we can thank you!

If you are a UK tax payer, we can also claim extra money from the government if you fill out our tax relief form. Simply fill it out, print it and send it along with your cheque.

As well as monetary donations, we also welcome other types of donations as well. For example:

  • Dog food -including puppy food, biscuits & treats.
  • Collars, leads, bowls, coats, toys, beds.
  • Bedding - old blankets, sheets.
  • Towels.
  • Washing powder, disinfectant, soap, black bin bags, rubber gloves, mops, buckets, scrubbing brushes, washing-up liquid.
  • Office supplies - printer paper, cartridges, pens etc, etc, etc.

Remember, all donations no matter how small can make a BIG difference. Thank you in advance for your kindness!

Fundraising is a vital role, and anyone who could spare the time to help organise fund-raising activities would be very welcome. Perhaps you know of somewhere a poster could be displayed, or a collecting tin placed. Any new ideas for fund-raising would be very helpful. As an animal lover the joy and achievement you feel from knowing you've helped through fundraising is tremendous. We have a lot of fun organising activities, and you can make some great new friends. Why not contact us and give it a try!
